I absolutely love Paris, and could even envisage myself living there. Why is it so great?
There is so much to do in Paris. Go up the Eiffel Tower, take a river boat up the Seine, go shopping in the fashion capital, go to the Notre Dame, visit the Louvre, see the Arc de Triomphe. You can’t get bored in Paris. I really like places that are overflowing with attractions, as it’s always exciting. Also, a lot of these things are free – you have to pay to go up the Eiffel Tower but it’s free to look at, as is the Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. These structures are so impressive you won’t tire of gazing at them.
It’s called the City of Love for a reason. It is one of the most romantic places to be with your partner, thanks to the beautiful architecture, the iconic sights and the great food. Something about Paris just screams romance.
3. Eiffel Tower
Yes, this is a cliché, but I love the Eiffel Tower. I’ve seen it at night and day, been up it and just stood at it’s base, and every time it’s amazing. Why do I love it? The views from up it, certainly. The whole of Paris is laid out in front of you. I also love that it’s so iconic, and I get excited just looking at it, knowing how many people would love to see it too. When it was first built, it was only meant to be temporary, and was declared ugly, but it has stood the test of time and is now the most Parisian thing imaginable.
The architecture in Paris is beautiful, with much of it in the style of Art Nouveau, where beauty was the aim. The simplest thing is made pretty in Paris, like balconies or a bridge. I like how decorative it is. I also love the history in Paris. Monuments like Notre Dame have been standing for so many years and have a rich history.
Macaroons, croque monsieurs, crepes, pain au chocolates… I didn’t try snails and I’m not sure I ever would. But the rest of the French food is good! Even the chips over there were great.
